Luxury homeowners in Norwell, MA, facing water damage can benefit greatly from the expertise of a public insurance adjuster. Here are essential tips to ensure an effective partnership:
Select a Specialist: Choose an adjuster with experience in handling high-value property claims. Their familiarity with luxury homes will be crucial for appropriately assessing damage and negotiating with insurers.
Verify Licensing: Ensure your adjuster is licensed in Massachusetts, confirming their qualifications and adherence to state regulations.
Understand Fees: Public adjusters usually charge a fee based on the claim’s payout. Discuss this fee structure upfront to avoid surprises.
Document Everything: Immediately document all instances of water damage with high-quality photos and videos. This includes recording the damage to both the structure and high-value contents.
Mitigate Further Damage: Take steps to prevent additional losses, such as using professional drying services, which may be necessary for preserving luxury finishes and materials.
Stay Engaged: Maintain regular communication with your adjuster, ensuring you are updated on the claim’s progress and decisions.

About Norwell MA
Norwell Massachusetts, then Satuit (later Scituate) was first settled in 1634, which encompassed present-day Scituate and Norwell a 2-mile stretch of Marshfield and part of Rockland. The people who resided along the ocean and populated Scituate harbor referred to the residents up the river as “the Inland People.” This division grew between church parishioners and the debate over how to spend Federal surplus monies eventually lead to the secession of South Scituate.
The town of South Scituate was officially created in 1849. Surnames of the earliest settlers in South Scituate, now Norwell, were that of Turner, Merritt, Oakman, Cushing, Sparrell, Vinal, Litchfield, Barstow and Jacobs.
